Dr. Christine Geserick is a Sociologist and Senior researcher at OIF since 2003. She studied in Passau, Münster (both Germany) and Alliance (Ohio, USA) and received her Master's degree in Sociology, Psychology and Social Anthropology. She wrote her doctoral thesis on au pairs in the United States and received her degree from the University of Vienna. Her current research interests include life course and individualisation, female biographies, social history of the family, young adults and care work in the family context. She is particularly interested in the methodology of qualitative research design. In addition to her research activities, Christine Geserick has been teaching Family Sociology in various contexts, for young people and adults. Since 2020, she has been an external lecturer at the FH Campus Wien for qualitative research methods.
